"Heroes" was meant to be NBC's answer to "Lost" and "24," but it may not be a serial much longer. Series creator Tim Kring told a panel at the recent Screenwriting Expo that maintaining serials like "Heroes" have been "an absolute bear to do." Television viewers, he says, don't watch TV on the same terms they did just a few years ago.
