With advertising dollars flowing to Hulu, the popular online video hub, YouTube is playing catch-up.

A Serenity fan on LiveJournal went to the Hub Conventions Serenity event this past weekend and reported some interesting news from guest Ron Glass (Shepherd Book from Firefly and Serenity). Dark Horse Comics will be publishing a new comic about the character of Book, set prior to the events we’ve already seen on the screen.

At last! - A new hub for Comedy Central's "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart" headlines a slate of two-dozen targeted Web sites that Viacom's MTV Networks will launch by the first quarter. TheDailyShow.com, which launches in the fourth quarter, will archive the entire video history of the show including headlines, interviews and "back in black"

South Park's creators signed a three year extension insuring their will be at least a 15th season. The deal will also give them control of a new website to serve as the hub of south park online. Expect games, mobile, and an overdose of irreverence.

Comedy Central and the creators of the popular show, "South Park" have agreed to create a hub to spread the program and related material across the Internet, mobile platforms and video games.
